SRM Materials Acquires Construction Aggregates Division of Coalson Excavation

SRM Materials has acquired the construction aggregates division of Coalson Excavation located in Hamilton, Texas.

SRM Materials President Ryan Hollingshead stated, “We’re excited to welcome the Coalson team into the SRM family, and we look forward to producing and supplying aggregate to both Central Texas and parts of West Texas.”

This acquisition marks SRM Materials’ second aggregate site in Texas and the 24th site nationwide.

Born out of a need to supply SRM Concrete plants with quality aggregates, the materials division produces and supplies limestone, river rock, and sand products.

Established in 1999 by Mike and Melissa Hollingshead in Smyrna, Tenn., the family-owned company owns and operates an expansive network of ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, cement terminals and other ancillary services across 19 states.

SRM Concrete also recently acquired the ready-mix assets of Concrete Material Supply (CMS), a ready-mix concrete supplier with three locations between Toledo and Cleveland, Ohio.

“We are looking forward to bringing the CMS crew on board at SRM. These three locations and our great new group of team members will allow us to continue to bridge service gaps for our customers in Northern Ohio,” Hollingshead stated.
