Former Rogers Group Exec Joins Landmark Construction as COO

Landmark Construction Co., a prominent name in the civil construction industry, announced the appointment of Anthony M. Garcia as its new chief operating officer (COO). “Garcia brings an impressive background in the construction sector, marked by more than a decade of exemplary leadership and a profound commitment to operational excellence,” the company stated.

For the past decade, Garcia has been an integral part of Rogers Group, Inc., a renowned family-owned company headquartered in Nashville. Rogers Group Inc., with its diverse portfolio spanning aggregate facilities, asphalt plants, heavy highway construction, and civil earthwork, is a 115-year-old industry leader, boasting operations across 9 states and employing 3,000 dedicated professionals. It stands as the nation’s largest privately owned aggregates company.

Throughout his tenure at Rogers Group Inc., Garcia has held various roles, culminating in his most recent position as Vice President of Alabama & Mississippi. Reporting directly to the president and CEO, Garcia spearheaded one of the largest areas within the organization. His responsibilities encompassed overseeing a workforce of nearly 650 employees, managing five limestone quarries, two river loadout/sales terminals, eight asphalt plants, seven paving crews, a robust civil earthwork and underground utilities team, trucking resources, equipment shop operations and leadership for the entire division.

The strategic objective behind Garcia’s appointment is to optimize the utilization of resources and free up valuable time for Landmark’s owners, the company stated. Together, they share a unified goal of fostering the continued growth of Landmark for years to come. Central to this shared mission is the preservation of Landmark’s existing business while strategizing for organic growth and expansion into new lines of business.
