McCloskey International Expands at bauma 2013

Screening and crushing industry manufacturer McCloskey International continued its expansion in 2013, with an increase in its presence at bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany, April 15-21.

Two spaces were reserved at the show for the first time, creating indoor and outdoor venues. The additional space allowed McCloskey to showcase new features and product enhancements to its line of crushers, screeners, trommels and stackers.

McCloskey exhibited a total of six products, including two screeners, three crushers and a tracked stacking conveyor. Screeners to be showcased include the S80 and R105, displaying both the well-established conventional fine material screen “S Range” and versatile, durable scalping “R Range.” Both these models boast the hugely popular transport friendly 2.5-m transport width sales feature over most of their market rivals.

Crushers were also on display, including the bogie-ready J44 jaw crusher, the bogie-ready C38 Cone as well as the bogie-ready I44R, introduced last year and combining crushing, screening and recirculating to provide seamless production. This new bogie-ready feature on all three crushing models means that customers can attach a bogie unit to each machine therefore eliminating the requirement for a trailer.

The greatest unique selling point of this is that the one four-axle bogie unit, which was also on display, is suitable for all three models to achieve full TUV road compliance, the company said. This means that the customer can purchase the primary jaw and secondary cone and only require one bogie unit that attaches to both machines for legal transport.

Rounding out the equipment on display was a TS4065. This new improved model has an industry standard size 1-m-wide belt that is 20–m long. This unit also has a head and tail section hydraulic assist folding mechanism to shorten the transport length and also a standard high impact protected feed boot for heavy duty material applications.

Recently, McCloskey announced statistics on its expansion in 2012, with 60 percent growth overall, a 30 percent increase in workforce and the addition of more than 136,000 sq. ft. of space to its plants in Canada and Northern Ireland over the past year.

In addition to its physical expansion, in 2012, the company continued to add new international dealers across all regions to represent the number of new products that were added to the company’s portfolio.

“There have been many contributors to our success, but one of the greatest is the strength of our dealer base worldwide,” said Paschal McCloskey, president and CEO of McCloskey International. “Their enthusiasm for the products, industry knowledge and their understanding of what the customer needs is the engine behind our growth. We have 65 dealers and our goal in the next two years is to have 100. There is a lot of opportunity as we continue to grow our share of the markets worldwide, and explore new applications for our machines.”
