March 26, 2015 – The industry has lost another one of its manufacturing giants. Coming on the heels of the passing of Don Brock of Astec Industries and Chet Giermak of Eriez, we have learned that Roy Rumbaugh, former president of McLanahan Corp., has also passed away. He was an NSSGA Honorary Life Member, and past chairman of theManufacturers & Services Division. He was instrumental in the merger of the National Aggregates Association and National Stone Association, which combined to form NSSGA. Rumbaugh was the second recipient to receive the Barry K. Wendt Commitment Award in 1999, NSSGA’s highest individual award recognizing commitment to family, industry and community. “The industry has truly lost one of its cornerstones,” said George L. Sidney, Jr., president and COO, McLanahan.
