For the second time in three years, a Noblesville gravel excavation project is facing stiff opposition from nearby residents who fear noise, dust and truck traffic will devalue their homes and threaten their health. “Our main objection — and the question — is why do this here in the middle of an area zoned residential,” said Peggy Kasprak, a resident of the Cherry Tree Meadows subdivision next to the proposed gravel pit. “We think it is a matter of convenience for the company.” Beaver Materials, of Noblesville, wants to dig the pit on 68 acres of farmland.
