Wisconsin-based producer and contractor Michels has expanded its benefits program through the establishment of its first on-site health and wellness clinic at its corporate headquarters in Brownsville, Wis. Staffed and managed by SSM Health at Work, the Michels Clinic is dedicated exclusively to Michels employees and their families.
“Safety is the cornerstone of our culture,” said Pat Michels, president and CEO. “Health is a key component of that core value. This clinic is an extension of our commitment to health and safety. It allows our people and their families to have dedicated access to high quality, convenient and affordable health and wellness care right here on our main campus.”
The Michels Clinic creates improved access to acute care, wellness and preventive care for Michels non-union employees and their family members. Occupational health services, including drug testing and DOT physicals, are available for all Michels employees.
The clinic includes three exam rooms and a lab draw area staffed by a family medical nurse practitioner, an occupational health registered nurse and a patient access representative. The clinic is open weekday hours to allow Michel’s employees and their families to receive health and wellness care at convenient times.
“We’re excited about the opening of the Michels Clinic and partnering with a company that clearly places a high value on the overall health and happiness of their employees,” said Katherine Vergos, SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital president. “This on-site wellness clinic is an example of how Michels and SSM Health are united in transforming health care delivery. We look forward to a long, healthy partnership.”
“Michels believes in providing our people with a comprehensive benefits program focused on physical, mental and financial health,” the company stated.
