GCAA Makes Education Connection

Dec. 14, 2022 – The Georgia Construction Aggregate Association (GCAA) reported that Martin Marietta hosted representatives from Vulcan, Hanson, Luck Stone and staff from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) at its Ballground, Ga., quarry. The focus of these GCAA-led meetings is to build inroads with the TCSG and local technical colleges like Chattahoochee Tech. Aggregate members shared insights on hiring and workforce issues in the aggregate industry and TCSG representatives offered suggestions for recruiting from these schools. This is an ongoing series around the state to help with workforce issues.
