Feb. 15, 2022 – The Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) is once again sponsoring Teachers Rock Ohio, a workshop for educators. The full program includes on-site industry tours, hard hats, informational binders, certificate of attendance (PDHs) and more. Teachers will be made aware of their sponsoring companies. These relationships go a long way to changing the perception of mining. Host companies are Gerken Materials, National Lime and Stone, and Melvin Stone. And one of the event’s sponsors is my alma mater, Ohio University. Congrats to OAIMA for this outreach.
