The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced the winners of the Safety Excellence Awards and the Louis Griesemer Sterling Safety Awards. The Safety Excellence Awards recognize operations that maintain a safe workplace, evidenced by its safety performance over a consecutive period without an MSHA-reportable injury. The Louis Griesemer Sterling Safety Awards recognize NSSGA member companies that have the lowest total accident incidence rate for the previous year in their size category.
“Safety is always top of mind for our industry and especially with the past year, our members make sure that every employee is involved with the safety and health aspects of their role,” said NSSGA President and CEO Michael Johnson. “Our Safety Excellence Awards, along with our Louis Griesemer Sterling Safety Awards, recognize those with an excellent safety record and I congratulate them on their exceptional achievement.”
