Chaney Enterprises Announces New Concrete Plant in Virginia

Aggregates and ready-mix concrete ready-mix concrete producer Chaney Enterprises announced the opening of its Norfolk concrete plant in Virginia.

Chaney Enterprises’ new ready-mix concrete plant in southeastern Virginia is tactically placed in proximity to downtown Norfolk, the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, the Naval Operations Base (NOB), Norfolk International Airport, Little Creek Amphibious Base and the southside shipyards.

The Norfolk concrete plant, located at 602 Ford Drive, has a waterfront yard for supply chain access off the Eastern branch of the Elizabeth River.

The new concrete plant is located at the former home of the renowned Norfolk Assembly, Ford manufacturing plant that opened in 1925 producing the Ford Model T and Model A. The assembly plant has since been sold and renamed the facility to the Virginia Renaissance Center.

Born with the same entrepreneurial American spirit as the Ford Motor Company, it is appropriate that Chaney Enterprises, a family-owned and operated company, sets its roots at this location making it the second ready-mix concrete plant in the Hampton Roads market creating a dozen new jobs.

“We are thrilled to announce this addition to our footprint in the Hampton Roads region. Located in the heart of the Campostella Heights neighborhood, bordering Chesapeake and Portsmouth, this plant can work strategically with our current Chesapeake ready-mix concrete plant. Local customers in the southeastern Virginia construction market will have access to numerous technology offerings as well as our remarkable team members that make up the best and most passionate in the industry,” stated Francis “Hall” Chaney, III, chief executive officer for Chaney Enterprises.
