National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) members can now apply for several of the association’s annual awards through an improved online application process on NSSGA’s Awards webpage. The deadline to apply for the Awards of Excellence in Community Relations, the James M. Christie Safety and Health Professional of the Year Award, and Safety Excellence Awards is Nov. 1.
The recipients of these awards will be recognized at NSSGA’s Annual Convention that will be held conjunction with ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas from March 7-11, 2017.
Companies can also apply for Community Relations Certificates of Achievement through a self-certification entry form.
Recently, NSSGA implemented changes to the presentation of the annual awards to better support the association’s mission and new event schedule. NSSGA will present the Awards of Excellence in Safety and Health, the Environmental Excellence Awards and Grassroots Awards at the association’s new Board of Directors Meeting and Legislative and Policy Forum in the fall of 2017.
The event will be held in Washington, D.C., and members of Congress as well as regulators will be invited to take part in the presentation of the awards to outstanding operations. Submissions for these awards will open in spring 2017.
