June 15, 2015 – Massachusetts State Sen. Mike Rush, along with fellow state Rep. Ed Coppinger and other colleagues, is working on creating a unified set of rules and regulations regarding the shutting 
down of a quarry regardless of where it is in Massachusetts. Currently there are not any state laws governing the process, Rush said during a meeting of the West Roxbury Civic and Improvement Association attended by more than 40 people on June 8 at St. Stephen’s Church in West Roxbury.
