Tony Basolo Dies; Former President of Dolese Bros.

The aggregates industry mourns the Jan. 9 passing of Tony Basolo, a Dolese Bros. Co. executive whom many people knew and admired for his dedication to the industry and participation in National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association activities, as well as the activities of its predecessor organization the National Stone Association.

Dolese Bros. Co. President Mark Helm released the following statement: 

“We are sad to inform you of the passing of Tony Basolo, the former president of Dolese Bros. Co. That very short sentence is inadequate to express the deep sense of loss of one who touched and influenced the lives of so many. Tony’s style of leadership was unique in that he would lead and also work right alongside you.  His door was always open to anyone. The principles of excellence and fairness were demonstrated as well as expected. He believed in the value of every employee in every capacity who had a part in making Dolese Bros. Co. the respected company that it is. He was a man of great faith, integrity, vision, wisdom and loyalty. Please remember his wife, Judy, and his daughter, Katie and her husband and 2 daughters in your thoughts and prayers.” 

Visitation will be held at Smith & Kernke, 14624 North May Avenue,Oklahmoa City, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11. A celebration of Basolo’s life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at The Village Baptist Church, 10600 North May Avenue, at 11:00 a.m.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org or to The Village Baptist Church.
