CEMEX Receives 11 Awards from NSSGA

CEMEX earned 11 awards from the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), recognizing the ongoing and longstanding commitments to environmental excellence and positive community relations at its aggregates operations.

NSSGA representatives presented CEMEX with the awards via video conference during the NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum earlier this month in Washington, D.C.

CEMEX aggregates operations earned nine NSSGA Environmental Excellence Awards, including one Gold Environmental Excellence Award for CEMEX’s Davenport Sand Mine in Davenport, Fla. The awards program provides national recognition for operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the exemplary use of environmental controls and systems.

“We take great pride at CEMEX in being good stewards of the environment and are committed to our pursuit of environmental excellence,” said CEMEX USA President Jaime Muguiro. “The employees at these operations have set and maintained high standards, serving as examples for other operations, and leading the way as we strive to be a good neighbor in the communities where we live and operate.”

  • Davenport Sand Mine, Davenport, Fla.

  • Brooksville Quarry, Brooksville, Fla.
