BMC Releases Economical Resin-Coated Proppant

Badger Mining Corp. (BMC) released Atlas CRC-One, a new resin-coated proppant under its BadgerCoated line that is “the ultimate in economical solutions for proppant flowback prevention in moderate temperature reservoirs,” according to the company. CRC-One’s exclusive resin complex offers protection from harsh well conditions and reduces or eliminates fines migration in the fracture, all without sacrificing strength or conductivity.

“Proppant flowback is a costly problem, but preventing it does not have to be,” says Adam Katz, BMC leader of sales and marketing. “CRC-One is a tool every engineer should keep in mind when designing a hydraulic fracturing treatment.”

Atlas CRC-One has a reduced resin coating percentage, but still provides the consistency and quality of all BadgerCoated products.

“From improving existing proppants to developing new ones, BMC is committed to refining and expanding its product portfolio to meet the needs of today’s customers,” said Erica Grant, leader of research and development at BMC.

All Atlas CRC-One is coated on BadgerFrac, a Premium Northern White sand substrate originating from the company’s mining facilities in Wisconsin. CRC-One will be available at any of BMC’s 28 current transload locations throughout North America.
