Lafarge North America’s Presque Isle Quarry in Michigan (a member of LafargeHolcim) sponsored student scholarships at the 2016 Black Mountain Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s (NWTF) Annual Hunting Heritage and Scholarship Awards Banquet. Several employees from Presque Isle Quarry attended the event on April 16 to present the awards.

Lafarge’s Presque Isle Quarry Recognized
Lafarge North America (a member of LafargeHolcim) received recognition for its Presque Isle Quarry in Michigan as part of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Safety, Environment and Community Relations Excellence Awards for 2015. The quarry received the silver level award for community relations.

Lafarge North America, a LafargeHolcim company, announced that its Presque Isle Quarry in Michigan received two awards from the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) for its environmental and conservation efforts during the past year, including the 2015 Upland Management Award as well as a recertification of programs with WHC.

After the event, Lafarge held a post-race open house celebration for the community at the Lafarge site.
