Preferred Proppants, LLC announced that it has commenced commercial operations at its resin-coating facility in Monahans, Texas. Preferred said it is the first company to open an in-basin resin coating facility to serve the Permian Basin.

Preferred Proppants Begins Building Oklahoma Frac Sand Plant
Preferred Proppants LLC announced that construction is underway on an in-basin frac sand mine and facility in Oakwood, Okla. The mine is expected to come online in the third quarter of 2018 and the company is currently looking to fill approximately 100 positions including electricians, maintenance technicians, heavy equipment operators, loaders, utility hands, plant operators, loadout operators and more.

Preferred Proppants LLC announced certain subsidiaries of Preferred have sold its Bloomer, Wis., sand plant, access to frac sand reserves through lease agreements and royalty rights, as well as corresponding facilities and equipment to Frontier Sand LLC for cash and future consideration, subject to closing and post-closing adjustments.
