U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary for Infrastructure David Crane announced his agency’s plan to negotiate an award up to $500 million to help fund a full-scale carbon dioxide capture, transport and storage facility at Heidelberg Materials’ recently upgraded Mitchell, Ind., cement plant. MSHA Impact Inspections Target 16 Mines in 11 States in December

The U.S. Department of Labor announced that its Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)  completed impact inspections at 16 mines in 11 states in December 2023, issuing 247 violations.
