Construction spending during December 2023 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2,096.0 billion, 0.9% (± 0.8%) above the revised November estimate of $2,078.3 billion. The December figure is 13.9% (±1.5%) above the December 2022 estimate of $1,840.9 billion.

February Construction Spending Ticks Downward
The U.S. Census Bureau reported that total construction spending during February 2020 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,366.7 billion, 1.3% (±0.8%) below the revised January estimate of $1,384.5 billion.

Construction spending during June 2017 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,205.8 billion, 1.3 percent (±1.5 percent) below the revised May estimate of $1,221.6 billion. The June figure is 1.6 percent (±1.8 percent) above the June 2016 estimate of $1,186.4 billion.
