These Boots Were Made for Walking … and More

Finding a comfy and aesthetically pleasing work boot can be a difficult endeavor, but thankfully Georgia Boot is here to help. The manufacturer recently sent me a pair of their Logger boots to put them to the test – and I gladly did.

The arrival of the boots came at the perfect time. I was touring an operation the following week and needed to wear steel-toed boots to access the site. Georgia Boot’s AMP LT Women’s Alloy Toe Low Heel Logger met the requirement and then some.

I’m happy to report that the boots were comfortable right from the start and didn’t require any breaking in. The alloy toe cap on this work boot is Ergo-Fit, which means it is designed to match the contours of the wearer’s foot to allow more room for their toes. It also meets ASTM F2413 I/C 75 standards for protective toe footwear.

The boots are built with a Goodyear welt construction to ensure longevity. The upper is SPR leather. It’s stronger than conventional leathers and 2 ½ times more abrasion resistant, according to Georgia Boot. Milled brass hardware extends the life of the laces. The rear of the boot features a Counter Lock System, which acts as a heel stabilizer and protects the heel for boot removal. The kiltie can be removed for a more traditional work boot look.

The inside of the boot is equipped with the Georgia Waterproof system and lined in a soft performance mesh. The removable AMP LT memory foam insole cushions and provides a customized fit. Furthermore, this work boot has a steel shank for added stability and arch support and a cushioning EVA midsole that acts as a shock absorber as you walk.

The oil and slip resisting rubber outsole features a lug pattern and meets ASTM F2413 electrical hazard standards for safety toe boots.

In addition to its Logger line, Georgia Boot offers reliable work, hikers and casual boots. Check out its full lineup at www.georgiaboot.com/womens.
