Rogers Group Acquires Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt, Jamestown Stone

Rogers Group Inc. (RGI), the largest privately held construction aggregates company in the United States, has expanded its presence in Eastern Kentucky and the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee with the acquisition of Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt and Jamestown Stone.

This move grows RGI’s footprint in these areas, enhancing its ability to serve local communities with high-quality construction materials.

The three acquired companies collectively employed approximately 35 individuals, the majority of whom have transitioned into key roles within RGI, ensuring continuity and expertise within the organization.

“The acquisition of Albany Quarry, Albany Asphalt, and Jamestown Stone marks a significant milestone for Rogers Group as we continue to grow and serve more communities in Kentucky and beyond,” said RGI President and CEO Jimmy Patton. “We look forward to building on the strong foundation established by these companies and integrating their talented teams into the RGI family.”

Albany Quarry was founded in 2010 when Dr. Randy Carter and his partners purchased a 400-acre tract known as Huddleston Mountain. Overcoming infrastructure challenges and being newcomers to the industry, the team transformed Albany Quarry from a startup with portable equipment into a state-of-the- art operation with a dedicated customer base and workforce.

With this expansion, Rogers Group reaffirms its commitment to delivering superior products, outstanding service and job creation in the communities it serves.
