Rogers Group Acquires Sterling Materials in Kentucky

Rogers Group Inc., the largest privately owned construction aggregate company in the United States, has acquired Sterling Materials, a producer of construction aggregates based in Verona, Ky.

Sterling Materials is a significant supplier to the asphalt and ready-mixed concrete industries in northern Kentucky. The company owns approximately 1,000 acres of land in Verona with underground mining operations producing more than one million tons of limestone annually.

This strategic acquisition strengthens Rogers Group’s footprint in Kentucky and supports its mission to deliver exceptional construction materials and services. Conveniently situated between existing Rogers Group operations in Louisville, Ky., and Cincinnati, Ohio, the location offers enhanced connectivity and operational efficiency.

The integration of Sterling Materials’ operations will allow Rogers Group to better serve its customers with an expanded product portfolio and increased production capabilities. Rogers Group will operate the location under its name, as the Boone Quarry.

“We are excited to welcome Sterling Materials into the Rogers Group family,” said Jimmy Patton, president and CEO of Rogers Group Inc. “This acquisition marks an exciting chapter in our growth, allowing us to expand our geographic footprint, strengthen our service capabilities, and add talented individuals to our team who share our commitment to safety, quality and community.”
