Cemex received the 2025 World’s Most Ethical Companies recognition from Ethisphere, which defines and advances the standards of ethical business practices that strengthen corporate brands, build trust in the marketplace and deliver business success.
As one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees, Cemex has been distinguished for exemplary business integrity, ethics, compliance, and governance standards.
Cemex activities are guided by the principles embodied in its “Code of Ethics and Business Conduct,” which serves as a guideline for establishing the highest standards of behavior within and outside the organization, as well as in interactions with its stakeholders. The list recognizes 136 companies across 19 countries and 44 industries this year.
“We are pleased to be among this select group of companies with a strong commitment to integrity, leadership, ethics, and compliance programs,” said Fernando A. González, CEO of Cemex. “Ethics is a core value at Cemex, and this recognition highlights our employees’ contributions to fostering a culture of transparency and trust.”
“Congratulations to Cemex for being recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies. Behind this honor is a true dedication and commitment to advancing business integrity,” said Erica Salmon Byrne, Ethisphere’s chief strategy officer and executive chair. “This approach is good for business – employees and other stakeholders value companies that prioritize the kinds of practices we measure through our process.”
Cemex is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards outlined in its “Code of Ethics and Business Conduct” and operating its business in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies. The Code defines the expected behaviors of employees and stakeholders, aligning with Cemex’s corporate values to support its strategic vision.
The World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment is grounded in Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient, which requires companies to provide more than 240 different proof points on practices that support robust ethics and compliance, governance, a culture of ethics, environmental and social impact, and initiatives that support a strong value chain.
That data undergoes further qualitative analysis by its panel of experts who spend thousands of hours vetting and evaluating each year’s applicants. This process serves as an operating framework to capture and codify best-in-class ethics and compliance practices from organizations across industries and from around the world.
