GrizzlyDrive Drum Motors from VDG, at AGG1 Booth #520, are manufactured for demanding belt conveyor applications, from aggregate processing to underground mining, ship loading and power generation.
The GrizzlyDrive features high quality precision-made components, including a robust sealing system that prevents contamination and cylindrical roller bearings that sustain high levels of belt tension, shock loads and vibration. All components are engineered to withstand harsh, abrasive and dusty environments.
The motor, gear reducer and bearings are all bathed in oil, enclosed and protected inside the drive roller, and designed for 80,000 hours of continuous operation before maintenance, increasing efficiency and safety, while decreasing maintenance and operating costs.
The VDG Oil Cooling-Conditioning unit, supplied as standard with GrizzlyDrive 75 hp and higher, circulates, conditions and cools the oil for optimal lubrication and heat dissipation, ensuring a cooler running motor and extending the life of the drive.
The optional VDG patented IronGrip lagging extends the life of the belt and other rotating conveyor components, such as rollers and idlers. The all-enclosed design and robust construction of the GrizzlyDrive reduces cost of ownership.
