CalPortland has acquired the aggregate and ready mixed concrete business assets of Grimes Rock Inc. and its affiliates located in Ventura County, Calif.
Grimes Rock is one of the largest construction aggregate processing plants in Ventura County. At its sand and gravel quarry in Fillmore, Calif., the company produces a variety of materials, all designed to meet current Green Book specs and Caltrans specs, the company stated.
Acquired affiliates include State Ready Mix Inc. and State Ready Mix Recycling, both in Oxnard, Calif.

The acquisition will enhance CalPortland’s geographic footprint in Southern California, according to the company.
