• At press time, Brent crude futures were down $2.73, or 2.89%, at $91.84 a barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell $3.11, or 3.5%, to $85.99.

Infill Thinking reported that High Roller sand just opened its Winkler Plant where they will sell a new product, WD100 (Winkler damp 100 mesh). This new damp sand expansion project puts a dedicated wet-sand-only plant in the Kermit sand production zone for the first time. To date, most of the damp sand pure play plants have gone into the eastern Midland Basin via proximity mines around Big Spring, with a facility or two in the Delaware as well. This is a unique damp sand offering in the heart of dry sand production territory.

Canadian National reported that a fire on a major bridge on the Grand Cache subdivision near Latornell, Alberta, Canada, has shut down rail traffic moving in and out of the Grand Prairie area affecting shipments of grain and other commodities such as frac sand.
