Jan. 28, 2022 – On Dec. 16, Vulcan Materials Co. hosted a quarry tour and press conference with Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson (D). This event was held at the Vulcan Lithonia Quarry, according to the Georgia Construction Aggregate Association (GCAA). This event served as an opportunity to say thank you and recognize Congressman Johnson on his support of the recent passage of the federal infrastructure package. Johnson serves on the important House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. GCAA also reported that it served as a co-host for the annual Transportation Legislative Reception with its partners at the Georgia Transportation Alliance, the Georgia Highway Contractors Association and the Georgia Ready Mix Concrete Association. This event serves as an important reminder about the importance of infrastructure in the state of Georgia. Approximately 250 people attended the reception at the Commerce Club in Atlanta.
