Victaulic has introduced a four-way diverter valve specifically designed to optimize backfill efficiency in mining operations.

The Series 725T Diverter Valve is engineered for “plug and play” operation, using remote actuation to bring operators above ground and improve mine safety. Designed to accommodate pressures up to 1,500 psi with an internal product flow path that eliminates all exposed moving parts, the valve features a 4-way, 3-outlet, compact design with two backfill outlets and a drain outlet for flush water diversion and backfill dumping. The drain outlet enables swift paste dumping to prevent solidifying and eliminates the need for costly repairs to upstream piping and bore holes resulting from blockages.
The valve’s polyurethane seat provides long life wear-resistance, and the martensitic stainless-steel wetted surfaces prevent premature erosion/corrosion. The 90-degree rotation to the tapered drain port enables quick diversion of flow to mitigate water hammer during flush water diversion.
Compact size and a grooved design make this valve easy to install in tight environments, and for site conditions that require more elevated installations, a support frame can be provided. Because the Series 725T Diverter Valve can be configured with several styles of Victaulic grooved end connections, it can be matched with existing piping within the mine.
