April 6, 2021 – Developed in response to evolving customer needs and expectations, John Deere launched its Performance Tiering Strategy at a virtual press conference, delivering a range of products at different levels of capability and user experience. Available first on the wheel loader lineup, the Performance Tiering Strategy supports customers by providing machine solutions built for various applications and jobs to enhance profitability and efficiency. Moving away from the traditional series letter designations, the Performance Tiering Strategy provides three tiers of machines — G tier, P tier and X tier. John Deere also increased the range of its grade control solutions with the launch of SmartGrade on the 210G LC and 350G LC Excavators. The factory- installed and -calibrated 3D SmartGrade system delivers increased productivity and accuracy on the job and provides benefits to contractors at all levels. To better support customers through improved aftermarket and support capabilities, John Deere also announced its preventative maintenance program for construction equipment, John Deere Protect. With John Deere Protect, required maintenance is performed at every 500-hour interval by an experienced dealer service technician. As a result, customer risk and long-term ownership costs decrease, and machine uptime increases, positively impacting customers’ bottom lines.
