March 1, 2021 – Kudos to Wake Stone Corp. for its donation in the amount of $5,000 to support the Food Bank of the Albemarle’s hunger-relief efforts in North Carolina. Quoted in OBX Today, Liz Reasoner, executive director, said the Food Bank of the Albemarle “is proud to include Wake Stone in the fight against hunger in northeastern North Carolina. We look forward to a continued partnership to alleviate hunger in our communities, at a time when it is more critical than ever before.” Wake Stone’s donation of $5,000 will provide support for general food bank operations and food distribution. Wake Stone’s gift comes at an especially critical time, as the Food Bank continues expanding both the main facility and distributions to meet the growing need across 15 counties. Wake Stone CEO and President Sam Bratton noted, “For 50 years our company and employees have been proud to give back to the communities in our markets where we have quarry operations.”
