James Clyburn (SC-06) speak during this year’s National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Legislative & Policy Forum on Sept. 21-23. The congressman will speak Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8:40 a.m. during the Breakfast with a Lawmaker & Virtual Hill Day Prep. He currently serves his colleagues as the third-ranking Democrat in the United States House of Representatives, and as the chairman of the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis. He is also the chairman of the Rural Broadband Task Force and Democratic Faith Working Group. As a national leader, he has championed rural and economic development and many of his initiatives have become law. Other speakers just announced are renowned political pundits Charlie Cook and Stuart Rothenberg, Nicole Nason, Federal Highway Administration, and Nick Ullrich, MSHA instructor from Gillette College. NSSGA previously announced U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), and House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) as speakers.
