This Week’s Market Buzz

•    Brent oil prices topped $70 per barrel for the first time in nearly five months, as expectations of tight global supply outweighed pressure from rising U.S. production and less robust global demand indicators. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude settled 36 cents lower at $62.10 a barrel at press time, the highest since November 2018.

•    Jordan Sands, North Mankato, Minn., announced the winner of its 2018 Jordan Sands Foundation Award. This year’s recipients are the core members of the Jordan Sands Safety Committee.

•    Source Energy Services has entered into significant contracts with Shell Canada Energy and another multinational upstream company for frac sand including logistics services that support their activities in the Duvernay; and has signed multi-year contracts with other leading oil and gas companies in the Montney and Duvernay for frac sand and logistics services.
