Van der Graaf to Hold Drum Motors Event in Texas

Van der Graaf will host a special event – Reduce Downtime with New Generation Drum Motors – on Oct. 17, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Saint Arnold’s Brewing Co. in Houston. Attendees will learn how the new generation of drum motors improves conveyor efficiency, reduces downtime and costs, as well as the company’s latest development – the GrizzlyDrive.

With the growing surge of acceptance of drum motor technology in the mining and aggregate industries, this is an excellent opportunity for both existing users as well as those considering the technology to learn more and have their questions answered. As well, participants can enjoy the networking opportunities, refreshments and some great prizes.

“This seminar will give producers an opportunity to learn more about Van der Graaf drum motor technology and how it helps their operations to reduce operating costs and downtime,” said Matthew Lepp, Van der Graaf’s heavy industry drive specialist. “As well, they will have an opportunity to speak directly to Van der Graaf technical experts to address their questions and needs.”

Guests will have a chance to learn in-depth technical information about the company’s products and capabilities.

“We will have live demos and key components on hand to allow our guests a hands-on learning experience,” Lepp said. “They will be able to see the internals of a drive at work to better understand the robust design and simplicity of Van der Graaf drum motors.”

Van der Graaf continues to be on the cutting edge of industry technology.

“We have seen a substantial surge in acceptance of our technology in the aggregate and mining industries,” Lepp said. “To meet growing needs we have expanded our product offerings up to 500 hp and 42-in. diameter drives. As well, we’ve rolled out a new line of motors, the GrizzlyDrive Series, to meet the special demands of these industries.”
