Philippi-Hagenbuch – Booth N11668

Featuring safety, stability and increased productivity as hallmarks of its design, Philippi-Hagenbuch’s patented line of Rear Eject Bodies offer the ideal solution for challenging hauling applications where overhead barriers inhibit traditional dump bodies.

Easily adaptable to any make and model of articulated off-highway truck as well as a number of rigid frame trucks, PHIL Rear Eject Bodies curtail the challenges associated with traditional dump bodies. In eliminating the need to raise the body of the truck, the PHIL Rear Eject Series allows for dumping materials safely while in motion and in the presence of overhead barriers.

This versatility in operation increases efficiency without reducing stability by providing a lower center of gravity and allowing dumping on downhill slopes and conditions with a soft footing. Without moving or raising the truck bed, the ejector blade pushes material toward the rear of the truck, while the tailgate lowers down and material is completely ejected. The unique sweeping action of the blade virtually eliminates all material – even that material prone to sticking to the sides or floor of the truck bed. This effective dumping action provides for more dumps in less time significantly increasing jobsite productivity.

PHIL Rear Eject Bodies are also versatile enough to be used as auxiliary feeders within quarries and mines, providing an alternative tool for delivering material to a crusher or asphalt plant if a primary feeder malfunctions or breaks down.

Continuing the company’s long-held vision of designing solutions that improve productivity while minimizing maintenance, PHIL Rear Eject Bodies are constructed with a single hydraulic cylinder used to operate both the ejector blade and the rear tailgate mechanism. As the ejector blade moves to the rear of the body, the tailgate mechanism located in the sides of the body begins to move to the rear of the truck. This motion, naturally supplemented with gravitational forces, lowers the tailgate simply and mechanically without the need for additional hydraulic cylinders. To further simplify the design, PHIL ejector bodies employ exclusive ejector guides integrated into the inside of the body, which provide smooth operation, while eliminating rollers that typically break or bind. Additionally, the bodies are constructed of high strength, abrasion-resistant steel to withstand years of use with little maintenance.

Because there are no external rails or guides for the ejector to move on, the Rear Eject Bodies provide enhanced ease of loading and increased capacity. Incorporating customer feedback and more than two decades of experience, Philippi-Hagenbuch eliminated all grease points with the exception of one – only requiring lubrication once a year.

Titan – Booth S6536

Titan Tire Corp., a subsidiary of Titan International, announced that its expanded STL2+ line will be on display. The new 875/65R29 and its Low Sidewall Technology (LSW) equivalent, the LSW875/55R34.5, are specially suited to Cat 982M wheel loaders. Additional sizes in the lineup include 23.5R25, 26.5R25 and 29.5R25.

The dual-purpose E-3/L-3 tread can be selected with either cut-resistant or wear-resistant compounding for excellent performance in any operating conditions. The tied-in, bar lug design is open and non-directional for excellent self-cleaning, and the 130-percent-level tread depth provides excellent traction and long life in rocky conditions.

“What really sets this tire apart is its tied-in lug pattern,” said Johni Francis, OTR global product manager. “The lugs are designed to work together as one unit, which provides excellent stability and even wear. Couple that with a radial construction and several compound options – and this tire is an excellent-performing, long-lasting choice for any earthmoving, aggregate or mining application.”

In addition to viewing an expanded earthmover lineup, visitors to the Titan booth can register for a chance to win $2,500 tire rebates, given away each day during the five-day show. The booth will also feature a mix of proven and new technologies for everything from skid steers up to mining haul trucks. Expect to see the industry’s leading bias designs, the latest in radial and LSW technology, and time-saving wheel technologies that can reduce tire rotation and replacement time by up to 50 percent.
