Total transportation construction and related market activity is expected to grow 1.3 percent in 2017, driven largely by increases in highway and bridge private construction activity supporting residential and commercial developments, according to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s (ARTBA) chief economist, Dr. Alison Premo Black.

Luck Stone, Mellott Partner on New Quarry Project
Luck Stone announced that the company will open a new quarry in Prince Edward County, approximately five miles west of downtown Farmville, Va. Luck Stone anticipates that the site, which is located along U.S. Route 460, will be open for business in the summer of 2017.
