May 4, 2016 –Vulcan Materials Co. held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening for its newest facility, the Savannah Sales Yard in Garden City, Ga. The new rail-served facility on Sonny Perdue Drive in Garden City is designed to better serve the growing industrial construction industry, David Grayson, president of the company’s southeast division told Business in Savannah. “Ask any economist and they will tell you that Savannah is where the growth is happening,” Grayson said. “With Georgia Ports continuing to expand and the Jasper Port in development, construction growth is inevitable.”
