Matson has held several key positions of leadership within RGI and with other companies during his 27-year career in aggregates, including his most recent position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Currently, Matson serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). Additionally, he serves on the board of PENCIL Foundation and the advisory board of Cane Ridge High School Academy of Architecture and Construction. Matson is a graduate of Penn State University, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.

Geraghty has served RGI since he joined the board in 1999. He was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2003 and elected president and CEO in 2005 upon the retirement of Don Williamson. Throughout his tenure with RGI, Geraghty’s first priority for all employees has always been safety.

His persistence and drive for continuous improvement in safety was evidenced by RGI winning the 2012 NSSGA Sterling Award for Large Companies. Geraghty’s dedication to the aggregates and road building industries has been demonstrated in roles of leadership in NSSGA, the American Road and Transportation Builders Association and other trade organizations.

He has also served as an advocate of corporate social responsibility and has led by example through his involvement. He has served on the boards of United Way of Metropolitan Nashville (Chairman, 2010), Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and several other organizations. The Nashville Business Journal included Geraghty on their 2013 list of “Most Admired CEOs,” he is a member of the 2007-2008 class of Leadership Nashville, and he received the coveted Barry K. Wendt Memorial Commitment Award from NSSGA on March 23, 2016.

“Our company, our industry and our communities have all benefited from Jerry’s commitment to excellence driven by his passion to make the world a better place,” said Ben L. Rechter, Chairman, RGI board of directors.
