42 RockShield 400RockShield Rubber Co., Milltown Wis., manufactures molded rubber wear components and screen media that are custom designed specifically to suit the needs of its mining and aggregate customers. Its products range from basic rubber wear components and heavy-duty bolt down screen panels to more sophisticated magnetic and ceramic wear components and modular screening systems.

RockShield recently opened its newly constructed 25,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility, where it moved from its temporary location. This new facility houses several rubber presses ranging in size from 36- x 36-in. up to 59- x 78-in., along with the first of several vertical machining centers that allows them to create new custom tooling to match a customer’s exact needs and do it in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The company notes that all of this equipment is being operated by people with 10-15 years of rubber-molding experience whom RockShield hired after the closing of another wear-media company.

“RockShield is a new name in the market but thanks to our veteran workforce we have the experience level of a 40-year-old company,” said of RockShield’s owner Gabe Feuerhelm. “This truly is a once in a life time opportunity for myself and our employees and as our new company grows we look forward to our current and future employees growing with us and ultimately everyone benefitting from the hard work that lies ahead.”

RockShield currently has representation in more than 20 states, the four eastern provinces in Canada, and has plans for further expansion over the next several years.
