Lehigh Hanson Names New President, CEO

NOTD JonMorrish 200Lehigh Hanson Inc. named Jon Morrish to succeed Daniel M. Harrington as the company’s president and chief executive officer. Harrington will retire after more than 20 years of service with the company.

Harrington has held the position of president and CEO since Jan. 1, 2010. Under his leadership, Lehigh Hanson successfully managed through one of the worst economic downturns in recent history and capitalized on the market recovery in the last few years. Harrington’s many contributions and industry knowledge played a key role in positioning the company for future growth.

Effective Oct. 15, 2015, Morrish assumes the role of president and chief executive officer. He will also join the managing board of HeidelbergCement effective Feb. 1, 2016.

Morrish has been with the company since 1999 and most recently served as the president of Lehigh Hanson’s South Region, a position he has held since Sept. 1, 2012. He has also held the position of managing director of the Hanson cement business in the United Kingdom as well as managing director of Hanson Concrete.

Morrish earned a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Leeds University. Morrish and his family will continue to reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
