In response to a significant backlog of secured contract work on both the heavy civil and construction materials segments of its business platform, Skippack, Pa.-based H&K Group Inc. (H&K) and The H&K Group family of companies held another extremely successful Job Fair on June 13, 2015.
Hosted at the company’s Materials Division facility in Skippack, H&K’s Job Fair enabled hiring managers to conduct same day interviews to fill numerous full-time positions in both the trades and skilled/technical employment levels within H&K’s Southeastern Pennsylvania operating region.
H&K reported that hiring managers filled 13 key positions on June 13th, along with an additional 30 plus applicants in the queue for follow-up interviews. Key positions have been filled in the following areas: welders, quality control technicians, operators, general laborers, site superintendents and numerous (CDL) triaxle drivers.
Commenting on H&K’s June 13th Job Fair outcome, the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President Scott B. Haines, stated, “We are extremely pleased with the quality of the applicants who took part in our Job Fair and are thankful for the great turnout given that the summer months are an extremely busy time of year for everyone in the construction trades.
