Sunset Logistics Inc., headquartered in Euless, Texas, has selected PSL as the vendor of choice for the automation of their owner operator and company-owned logistics delivery resources.
Sunset Logistics Inc. is a provider of bulk materials delivery in the state of Texas, and has leveraged strategic partnerships with companies like Martin Marietta, Argos, Oldcastle, Trinity Industries, Ashgrove, Lehigh Hanson, Holcim and Cemex.
PSL utilizes Cloud-based information logistics to provide Sunset’s drivers with load information to any Android tablet in the fleet. When the driver deliver’s his load and receives a signature or stamp, he then takes a picture of the ticket and uploads it directly to Sunset’s Enterprise Document Imaging system, allowing Sunset to complete the dispatch.
The PSL system also allows for drivers to see their ‘future’ orders in a 36-hour window. This has allowed for future dispatch communications to flow to the owner-operator fleet, saving Sunset thousands of man-hours each month by utilizing the innovative streamlined communications and data logistics of PSL.
