Darin Matson was elected to the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer for Rogers Group Inc., with corporate headquarters in Nashville, Tenn.
Matson’s most recent position was that of division vice president of RGI responsible for the company’s operations in Arkansas and western Kentucky with additional responsibility for the company’s corporate functions of business development, information systems, human resources, safety and aviation.
Matson has more than 26 years of experience in the industry having held several key management positions with Rogers Group Inc. and previously with Martin Marietta Materials.
Currently, Matson serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association. Additionally, MAtson serves on the Board of PENCIL Foundation and as chair of the Advisory Board for Cane Ridge High School Academy of Architecture and Construction.
He is a graduate of Penn State University, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
Matson and his wife, Kathy, are residents of Franklin, Tenn. Daughter Kaylie is a resident of Nashville, and son Grant is a senior at the University of Illinois.
