Terex Washing Systems (TWS) took the opportunity of Rock Products’ recent Frac Sand Insider conference to introduce its Fracstac modular frac plant concept to the U.S. market.SS-Fracstac-400

According to Elaine Donaghy, marketing manager, the development of the new product is in response to extensive increased activity in the industry, and continually aiming to meet its customers’ needs. The product is due to be officially launched in early 2015 at an exclusive U.S. event.

Fracstac is the first plant to be designed as a modular unit to fit into overseas shipping containers. The plant is designed for rapid deployment, and features an integrated control station with cutting-edge HMI; has the flexibility and control to produce a range of gradations of frac sand; and offers increased longevity due to extensive use of rubber and ceramic lining.

“Fracking is already a major activity in the U.S. and it is starting to become a global frenzy which presents an exciting opportunity for TWS with our new product currently in development,” said Sean Loughran, director of TWS. “We hope our attendance at the Frac Sand Insider Show exhibit and new product announcements demonstrate our commitment to providing enhanced and unique solutions to meet every customer’s individual needs and demands. Our team draws upon years of expertise from the rich heritage of our legacy companies and we look forward to addressing all your mineral, sand and aggregate washing queries.”

In addition to frac sand, the plant can be used for processing silica sand, golf course sand, industrial sand, filter sands and special-recipe blends
