Dakota Equipment Manufacturing Inc., (DEMi), which officially announced its new business, has received a patent for use in the aggregate field.SS-Demi-400

“The patent designs we were awarded are a much-needed improvement in the field, “said President Tim Holmberg. “We are excited to launch not only the business but the marketing and manufacturing of our products. Our Grizzly Spring Fingers will revolutionize operations with huge savings in time and money.”

Grizzly Spring Fingers is an adjustable spring grizzly bar material separator, which relates to the company’s flexible spring tines, specially designed and forged for this product. They will eliminate 100 percent of rock jams and provide 100 percent clear passing material even in wet sticky clay-like material, according to the company.

DEMi has yet to find a material that is able to plug the device. “We have put more than a couple hundred hours of testing to this product and are satisfied we have the best solution to the issue of rock jams in the grizzly bars,” said Holmberg.

DEMi installs these assemblies directly over top-deck media in medium-duty screens. This type of installation greatly reduces pegging and plugging of both stand punch plate as well as rubber, creating almost double the productivity in most cases, the company stated.

The equipment:

  • Installs directly over top-deck media in medium-duty screens and greatly reduces pegging and plugging of both stand punch plate as well as rubber, creating almost double the productivity in most cases.
  • Repair and replacement are quick and easy – keeping downtime to a minimum.

DEMi is currently working on solidifying exclusive dealers for its products, and hopes to have that process completed by the end of 2015. During that time the company will accept calls and inquiries for product and dealers directly at its corporate location. “Our goal is to establish a North American dealer network by the end 2015, and a global dealer coverage in three years,” Holmberg said.
