Polaris Minerals Corp., which is focused on the development of quarries and the production of construction aggregates, announced the appointment of Scott Dryden as vice president of Business Development.
Dryden joins Polaris from Northern Transportation Company Ltd., a substantial First Nations-controlled maritime transportation and services company, where he held the positions of director, marketing and customer service, and managing director, Eastern and Offshore Division.
He was formerly the manager of customer service and West Coast Operations for CSL International Inc., the exclusive shipping contractor of Polaris.
Herb Wilson, president and CEO said, “He brings an in-depth knowledge of shipping logistics, which represent the largest single cost component in our business, and also an understanding of the cultural relationships that are so important for operating in British Columbia today. As we seek to continue the company’s development, while optimizing operational costs and efficiency, he will make an invaluable contribution.”
