Vulcan Materials Co. announced results for the first quarter ending March 31, 2014. The company is reporting that net sales increased $44 million, or 9 percent. The Dodge Momentum Index advanced 8.4 percent in April to 123.0 (2000=100), according to McGraw Hill Construction, a division of McGraw Hill Financial.
