January 13, 2014 – Thomas Heath, a columnist for the Washington Post, just wrote a great piece about Luck Stone.
He spent a day touring quarries in Northern Virginia with Charles Luck IV, who told him that one of his biggest preoccupations as chief executive of the Luck Companies is figuring out a way to keep the enterprise in family hands. That means deciding whether anyone in the next generation — i.e., any or all of his three children — will have the right skills and passion to run the firm. It is a great read, check it out.
