Flexco updated the design of the washers on #1, 140 and 190 Bolt Solid Plate Fastening Systems to improve fastener-belt interaction and maximize splice performance, according to the company.
The washer sizes on the #1, 140 and 190 Bolt Solid Plate fasteners have been reduced to fit deeper into the cup during installation. This results in improved splice performance, especially on thin, worn belts.
The Flexco Bolt Solid Plate Fastening System provides a strong, sift-free splice with superior holding ability for use in tough material handling applications. The system also allows for quick and easy onsite installation with only a few tools.
The design and plate compression on both the top and bottom sides of the belt is key to the strength of the system. High-tensile strength bolts compress top and bottom plates to distribute splice tension across the entire width of the fastener plate.
Specially formed teeth penetrate deep into the belt carcass for added strength without damaging the carcass fibers.
Ideal for use in tough, abrasive applications like sand, gravel, crushed stone, grain, coal, cement and salt, the Bolt Solid Plate Fastening System can be easily installed with portable hand tools or power tools. Exclusive piloted bolts feature tapered tips that cradle the nuts securely in place, reducing installation time.
In addition to the #1, 140 and 190 styles of Bolt Solid Plate fasteners, Flexco also offers 2, 2 ¼, 2 ½ and 3 fasteners for thicker belts.
The Flexco Bolt Solid Plate Fastening System can also be used to repair conveyor belt holes and edge tears or combined with three-bolt rip-repair fasteners to fix jagged, length-wise belt tears.
