MDU Resources Group Inc. announced that it has named Nathan W. Ring as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of the corporation, effective Jan. 3. Ring will replace Nicole Kivisto, who has accepted another executive position with a division of the corporation.

“Nathan has a strong focus on integrity within the financial reporting process. Schwartz, vice president and chief financial officer of MDU Resources.
Ring, a native of Langdon, N.D., has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of North Dakota. He is a certified public accountant. He and his wife, Kathryn, live in Bismarck with their three children.
