According to WQOW TV, a frac sand company has been named the “Business of the Year” by the Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce. Fairmount Minerals received the award. The chamber says the company sets the bar high for the frac sand industry and has demonstrated its support to the community in numerous ways.
“Their generous support of community organizations, programs and events is noteworthy in itself,” the Chamber wrote, “but when an industry often fraught with debate chooses to rise above the ‘noise’ and demonstrate its support to multiple community efforts, it means even more Fairmount Minerals sets the bar high for the frac sand industry and corporate partners as a whole – we are thankful to have them in Menomonie.”
